Porfolio Growth and Transformation Lead
Location: Remote, Europe
Our client is a privately held investment group focused on building long-term value through acquiring and developing essential businesses. The group works closely with its portfolio companies to improve execution, unlock organic growth, and implement scalable ways of operating.
We are looking for a Portfolio Growth and Transformation Lead to partner directly with CEOs as a hands-on driver of change. The primary goal of the role is to enable sustainable, profitable growth by strengthening execution — without introducing unnecessary complexity or layers.
The role is designed to start with deep involvement in a single portfolio company, leading a full-cycle transformation. Over time, as progress is achieved and new opportunities emerge, the scope will expand to include additional companies, gradually building a broader portfolio of responsibility.
This position suits someone comfortable operating in real business environments — identifying what doesn’t work, fixing it, and ensuring changes stick.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with CEOs to identify growth constraints and execution gaps, and convert them into clear, actionable priorities.
Lead end-to-end implementation of growth and improvement initiatives across commercial, operational, and organisational areas.
Establish and embed practical processes, tools, and decision-making routines that strengthen execution.
Support leadership teams in defining focused annual plans, KPIs, and execution roadmaps aligned with long-term objectives.
Introduce structured performance tracking and follow-through mechanisms to ensure consistent delivery.
Detect recurring issues and systemic bottlenecks, and drive initiatives to resolve them at the root cause level.
Help leadership teams build stronger accountability, ownership, and delivery culture.
Raise critical issues when needed, providing clear analysis and pragmatic recommendations.
Requirements
Experience working with acquired businesses (post-acquisition / integration), including aligning operations within a group structure.
Proven track record in business transformation — improving processes, upgrading systems, and delivering measurable performance improvements.
Strong commercial mindset, ideally with early-career exposure to sales or revenue-generating roles.
Solid understanding of company-level P&L and practical levers for growth (pricing, upsell, market expansion).
Broad operational exposure across functions, with the ability to quickly ramp up in unfamiliar areas.
Experience operating in or leading small to mid-sized organisations (c. 50–70 employees), ideally B2B SaaS serving enterprise clients.
Ability to represent the business credibly with senior stakeholders and customers, and build long-term relationships.
High execution pace: detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable in fast-moving environments.
Structured and pragmatic thinker with a strong documentation mindset (including AI-enabled environments).
Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
