Engineering Leader, Platform Transformation
Our client is a product technology company in the energy sector, building a comprehensive platform used by energy suppliers for contract management, billing, invoicing, reporting, and regulatory compliance. The product is mature, widely adopted, and plays a critical role in a highly regulated environment.
Over time, the platform has accumulated significant technical debt due to historically ad hoc development and limited engineering practices. The company is now entering a transformation phase, with the goal of modernizing the architecture, improving scalability, and evolving the system towards a more maintainable and predictable platform.
They are looking for a hands-on Engineering Leader to take ownership of this transformation and work closely with a small, experienced team (currently ~10 engineers). This role combines technical leadership, architecture ownership, and active involvement in engineering work.
This is not a purely managerial position — the ideal candidate will be comfortable diving into the system, shaping technical decisions, and driving change within an established team.
