Head of Business Development
Location: Remote (Europe), with international travel
Our client is a fintech company providing mission-critical banking and financial infrastructure technology to regulated institutions. Operating across compliance-intensive markets, the company supports banks with secure, scalable systems designed to meet strict regulatory and operational requirements.
We are looking for a Head of Business Development to lead international growth across selected regions. This role is suited for a senior commercial professional with a strong background in enterprise technology sales within fintech or banking infrastructure. The successful candidate has a track record of originating and closing complex B2B technology partnerships with banks and regulated financial institutions.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a commercial builder who can shape market entry strategy while directly leading strategic deal execution across multiple territories.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Driving international growth initiatives across priority markets
Developing and executing regional market penetration strategies
Identifying and engaging target financial institutions
Leading end-to-end enterprise deal processes, from origination to contract finalization
Managing long-cycle, multi-stakeholder negotiations involving technical, compliance, legal, and procurement teams
Participating in formal tender processes and structured vendor selection procedures
Structuring commercial models for enterprise software and infrastructure deployments
Establishing strategic alliances with local partners and system integrators
Collaborating closely with executive leadership and product teams during solution positioning and negotiations
Building a predictable pipeline and implementing disciplined forecasting practices
Your Background
Significant experience in enterprise B2B business development or sales within fintech, core banking, payments, financial infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or other complex technology sectors
Demonstrated success in securing high-value contracts with banks or regulated financial organizations
Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to engage in technical solution discussions
Experience navigating extended enterprise sales cycles and layered decision-making structures
Comfortable operating autonomously while building frameworks, processes, and commercial structure
Exposure to cross-border transactions and international market expansion
