Portfolio Growth Operations Lead
Location: Remote, Europe
Our client is a privately owned investment group building long-term value through the acquisition and development of mission-critical businesses. The Group supports portfolio companies by strengthening execution, accelerating organic growth, and embedding scalable operating practices.
We are seeking a Portfolio Growth Lead to act as a hands-on change and execution partner to portfolio company CEOs. The role focuses on accelerating profitable growth by improving how companies execute — not by adding layers of management or bureaucracy.
This position requires someone comfortable working across multiple companies, diagnosing execution problems, and driving sustained change in real operating environments.
Responsibilities
Work directly with CEOs to diagnose growth and execution challenges and translate them into actionable initiatives.
Drive implementation of growth initiatives across commercial, operational, and organisational domains.
Introduce and reinforce practical processes, systems, and decision-making frameworks that improve execution discipline.
Support CEOs in setting clear annual goals, KPIs, and execution priorities aligned with longer-term strategy.
Implement regular performance reviews and follow-up mechanisms to ensure initiatives move from idea to impact.
Identify recurring execution failures or systemic constraints and lead efforts to eliminate them.
Support leadership teams in strengthening accountability, ownership, and delivery standards.
Escalate issues when necessary with clear facts, options, and recommendations.
Requirements
5–10 years of experience in operations, growth, or chief-of-staff–type roles within scaling organisations.
Hands-on experience implementing change across teams or functions, not just advising.
Strong commercial intuition with an understanding of sustainable, margin-conscious growth.
Ability to challenge senior leaders constructively and maintain trust while driving change.
Structured thinker with a pragmatic approach to process and system design.
Strong execution discipline and comfort with ambiguity.
Advanced MS Office and cloud productivity skills.
Practical understanding of AI tools used in business operations.
Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
